Our reprint of the Bland/Backhouse book “China Under The Empress Dowager” is ready for publication, and the Backhouse memoirs now look likely for a May launch. Tales of Old Singapore is expected to be out soon after that although we do not have a definite date as the manuscript is still under development.

Work continues on our next major release, which is Decadence Mandchoue, the China memoirs of Edmund Backhouse. Derek Sandhaus has spent close to a year preparing Backhouse’s messy manuscript for publication, but the result is, we believe, of significant historical significance, and his writing is indubitably charming. Target publication date: May. We have a number of many other books under development, about which more next time.
